Join artist José Villalobos as they discuss their performance and practice in context of their first solo museum show in the U.S., “José Villalobos: Rough Rider” at ASU Art Museum. Villalobos will perform at the museum June 11, presenting a work that underscores how queer bodies, brown bodies and immigrant communities are persecuted, policed and erased in today’s volatile political landscape. We are excited to welcome Villalobos back for Pride Month to highlight their work at the museum and the importance of queer art in the Southwest and beyond.
