Join ASU Art Museum and the Liu Shiming Art Foundation and Gallery for an evening of film and conversation presented in conjunction with “Cooperative Craft: Artmaking of the Mingei Movement.” The program begins with a rare screening of “Mashiko Village Pottery, 1952,” a documentary capturing postwar Japanese ceramics and daily life. A panel discussion will follow, featuring Fran Kaufman, Aya Nakanishi-McDaniel, Richard Vine and Sade Moore, exploring themes of collective making, cultural preservation and artistic legacy.
