Presented in recognition of the ASU Art Museum’s 75th anniversary, “The Collection at 75: Selected Acquisitions from 1950–2025” traces the evolution of the collection through works acquired across time. The exhibition highlights longstanding strengths in craft, prints, Latinx and Latin American art and socially engaged practices, while examining how shifting cultural contexts, artistic approaches and institutional priorities have guided collecting decisions over time. Organized according to when artworks were acquired rather than when they were created, the exhibition invites visitors to consider the relationships and values that have shaped the institution across generations and continue to advance its commitment to centering artists in the service of community well-being and social good.
“The Collection at 75: Selected Acquisitions from 1950–2025” is organized by ASU Art Museum Latinx Curatorial Fellow Natalie Solis, with ASU Art Museum Curator Brittany Corrales and ASU Art Museum Windgate Curatorial Fellow Sade Moore.
