ASU Art Museum centers artists and art in the service of community well-being and social good. This fall, the museum will launch two new projects that deepen its connection to place and community.
The museum partnered with Cayla Gray to create a custom scent inspired by the desert’s natural elements, inviting visitors to experience the space in unexpected ways.
It also invited Galerie Town, in collaboration with Mexa Design, to reimagine the museum’s covered entryway, originally designed by architect Antoine Predock. The project brings to life furniture designed by Clara Porset (Cuba, 1895-1981), recreated with the help of the Archive at UNAM to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The museum will celebrate the projects Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from 6:00 to 8 p.m. with a program that includes a panel discussion and community gathering.
